I can't stress enough the importance of being happy. Honestly everyday it should if it's not already be your goal to make yourself the happiest version of you. Not only should you be happy, but you should also make the people around just as happy. Today I'm sharing ten ways that make me happy, in hopes they make you happy as well.
1. Stay hydrated.
Staying hydrated will make you less vulnerable to feel tired throughout the day, and is just healthy for your body in general.
2. Get plenty of rest.
I think it's important to establish a night routine, that lets you know when it's time to wind down. Having a good sleeping routine will help you to be more productive throughout the day. Plus who likes cranky people?!
3. Get outdoors.
I cant tell you how much a little vitamin D can do for you. It helps boost your energy and can automatically put a smile on your face. Whether you go for a walk around your neighborhood, or just take a drive around town I promise it helps to get a little fresh air every once in a while.
4. Take time for the stuff you love.
Whether this means getting a facial or mani pedi at your local spa. Or grabbing dinner with your best friend. Whatever you love or that makes you happy, its important to take time at least once a week for those things.
5. Keep your space tidy around you.
I can't tell you how important this tip is. When ever I'm feeling stressed or down I pick up my area around me and let me just tell you it makes me instantly happy. When your space is cluttered it can also make your mind feel cluttered which is never a good thing.
6. Spend time with your family.
Yes, friends are good to have but at the end of the day your friends can't bring you the happiness your family can. Sometimes its important to drop all things for a family dinner or just to hang in general. I promise you won't regret it.
7. Take time away from electronics.
I cant stess this enough. Trust me I'm not good at this in any way shape or form. I'm ALWAYS checking Instagram or Snapchat. It's super important to unplug and enjoy those around us.
8. Take one day at a time.
This one is something I struggle with. Some days I get too caught up with the future that it ruins the present. Live in the moment, and things will all fall into place.
9. Wear something you feel comfortable in.
I know I love to keep up with all trends, but I know personally if I don't feel comfortable in what I'm wearing I'm more than likely to not feel happy or confident.
10. Top three daily.
When I was going through a hard time someone told me to pick the top three things that made me smile/happy each day and to write those three things down. I know keep a notebook next to my bed and try to do this each night.
