I had a completely different post planned for today but after last night I was drawn to writing this post today. I encourage you to read this with open hearts, and to embrace your faith as well.
Last night I had the opportunity to go to the Live Original show by Sadie Robertson. As you all know Live Original is my favorite book & Sadie is my inspiration for several of my posts on my blog. I had no clue the Live Original tour was coming my way. Until my sister surprised me with tickets. So it wouldn't be appropriate to write this post without thanking her for seeing this opportunity & thinking of me. That's what i love about my sister she's always thinking of others and most of the time more than herself. She's the most loving, selfless , kind person I know. I am so blessed to call her not only my sister & best friend but my inspiration. I am blessed to have a big sister like her and am forever grateful God placed her in my life.
With that being said I'm going to share some of my experiences from last night, but not everything. First off Sadie brought along some amazing talented artists on her tour. Whose music I have on repeat today. Before anything started Sadie's brother John Luke said to walk into the show with an open heart. I tried my hardest to do just that. Steven Malcolm was the first artist, in his last song he asked those who were dealing with depression or had dealt with depression or any mental struggle to come up and to kneel down around each other & pray. Now I don't know about you but getting up in front of a crowd of a good couple thousand people and walking up isn't the easiest thing to do. At least for me it wasn't. I tried just sitting back but I got this calling to walk up there and pray with the others struggling. Once I got the courage to walk up I knelt down to my knees surrounded by my fellow brothers & sisters who were going through something as well. As I was kneeling in this room of a couple thousand people I felt nothing but love, pure holy love & peace. The only kind Jesus can give. I let my tears flow. Those tears didn't represent sadness. They represented my struggle. My struggle being lifted by my savior. For that moment changed my life. God turned to me and said " I am your home". God is my comfort, my guider, my safe zone. When I feel like everything is going wrong & I am nothing. God reassured me he is my home. God will always be there no matter what & no matter how unstable my life may seem God will guide me in the right direction towards his home. As Sadie said put down your weapon ( or struggle) and pick up praise. For those of you who don't know I struggle with anxiety. All my life I am always living in fear. Last night I was able to finally put down that weapon and pick up my praise. For my Lord Jesus has a purpose for my life. I just as everyone else on this Earth was created for a reason & with a special purpose. I truly believe my purpose is to do exactly this. To share my thoughts and experiences with the world in hopes to help someone in some way. Last night kneeling down I realized I am not alone. Several others are struggling as well & we're on this journey together. With God our creator and Savior backing us up keeping us strong and leading us towards the light & praise.
As Sadie said " TIme will not heal, JESUS heals". I think this message is so true & important to remember. Us as humans are always turning to time saying " oh this will pass with more time". No, you can sit and wait and keep believing in that theory but in all honesty our Creator heals. I was reminded of that last night to turn to him. Jesus can heal within the matter of seconds. Time will never heal.
Now I couldn't possibly write everything about last night. That would take me a while. If you have the opportunity to see Sadie speak in the Live Original tour I HIGHLY recommend going you won't be disappointed. I will have the Live Original tour website linked below for those of you interested. If it's not coming your way, or you can't go for some reason I hope you take something from this post.
Last but highly important always remember to live without fear for your Lord is always with you & always protecting you.
Thank you Sadie for opening my heart & faith. Changing my life for the better.
